My story...
I've been overweight almost my whole adult life. I'd put on weight, then lose some weight, but I was never thin. I liked food too much, I guess.
I became a father a little later than most - 40-something. The weight started piling on - and stayed on. Then COVID and lockdown. Yikes. The final straw? I was refused life insurance until I lost some weight.
I knew I knew HOW to lose weight. But I HATED DOING IT. Diets suck.
Most diets tell you to aim for 2 lbs. per week. What? So if I need to lose 40 lbs., it's going to take me FIVE MONTHS!?! Screw that. There had to be a better way.
So I started looking around, and found what's called a "Protein Sparing Modified Fast" (PSMF).
Now, a PSMF is pretty much the most drastic weight loss plan on the planet. It's what they put us fat guys on when they need urgent surgery. It works fast, but it was a little TOO drastic for any sane person.
So I MODIFIED the Protein Sparing Modified Fast. When I'm on my program, I eat about 2 lbs of food each day, yet I still average 0.7 lbs of fat loss per day.
